Warehouse Operatives that have the ability to function well as part of a team. You must have very effective organisational and communication skills and a flexible approach to work. Minimum of 1 years’ experience of working within a Warehouse environment. Fork Lift Truck Certificate, Counterbalance, Pivot, Flexi/Bendi trucks is an advantage. The ability to multi‐task and work in a fast paced environment. Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co‐Workers. Ensuring a high standard of hygiene at all times, clean as you go work ethic (damages, spillages and general hygiene are maintained at all times)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience of working within a Warehouse environment
  • Fork Lift Truck Certificate, Counterbalance, Pivot, Flexi/Bendi trucks – Desirable: (MEWP) Scissor Lift Certificate
  • Must be able to work as assigned in either office or warehouse environments
  • Professional in appearance
  • Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety of themselves and others around the workplace
  • Ability to multi‐task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co‐Workers
  • Highly organised, self-sufficient and able to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines
  • Flexible in approach to work and adaptable to fit into different teams and environments
  • Confident and approachable
  • Chemical and Manual Handling Trained Desirable but not essential as training will be given
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and have own transportation to work

Accountable KPI’s:

  • Customer Service – Accuracy of stock levels when picking orders – 98%
  • Quality – Ensure product is loaded correctly and safely for transit – 99%
  • Cost – Ensure safe storage and loading to eradicate breakages – 1%

Key Accountabilities:

Customer Service

Ensure effective and efficient running of the warehouse function and customer satisfaction by: 

  • Taking delivery of goods and supplies
  • Storing of goods
  • Picking of goods
  • Preparation of stock
  • Loading of stock by hand, pump truck or forklift
  • Keep accurate records of stocks
  • Assisting with stock taking as and when required
  • Keeping warehouse and work area clean and tidy through use of chemicals and non hazardous equipment
  • Use of the correct methods for manual handling
  • Use of automatic wrapper to correct procedure
  • Completion of relevant paperwork
  • Correct completion of the picking and unloading paperwork and IT based systems
  • Ensuring cleanliness of stock and warehouse (this includes cleaning spillages and damages as they happen or on discovery)

Communication

  • Contact internal customers to resolve any queries or problem that may arise with paperwork
  • Responding to and dealing with customer communication by email and telephone

Teamwork

  • Encouraging teamwork within the workplace by displaying the correct behaviours towards all members of the Knowles Transport Ltd teams
  • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely and securely and reporting of any concerns or near misses to the Site Manager

Transport Administrator

The transport administrator is key to running efficient transport operations across the UK. The role combines logistics administration, transport planning and subcontractor management to deliver reliable services.

Responsibilities include; managing relationships, handling and resolving transport enquiries and issues, maintaining accurate data and liaising with our warehouse and transport support teams to provide a smooth operation.

The ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced logistics or transport environment, strong numerical and IT skills, and is excellent at communicating.

Transport Operator

The Transport Operator is responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of our fleet and movement of freight across the UK.

Key responsibilities include; allocating daily driver schedules, monitoring vehicle and driver activity, and updating transport management systems with accurate information.

The Transport Operator works closely with our drivers and other members of our transport teams to communicate changes, resolve issues and ultimately get shipments delivered successfully.

The ideal candidate has at least two years' experience in a fast-paced logistics or transport environment, a strong understanding of operator licensing and compliance regulations, and excellent organisational and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other transport management systems is essential.

Load Planner

The Load Planner ensures that freight is moved efficiently across our transport, warehouse, and Palletforce operations.

Key responsibilities include planning and scheduling loads to resolve issues; proactive communication within our team and with our customers, and the ability to adapt to changing situations is essential to ensuring that all movements are accurately recorded in our transport systems and that all issues and changes are dealt with efficiently.

The ideal candidate has experience in a transport or planning office, strong organisational skills, and excellent UK geographical knowledge. Proficiency with Microsoft systems and transport management systems is essential.

This role suits both experienced planners and individuals looking to develop a career in logistics.

HGV Driver

Our HGV drivers are responsible for the safe and timely transport of customers' products across the UK.

Key responsibilities include; transporting goods, communicating with internal teams and customers, accurately completing all documentation, and maintaining vehicle and trailer hygiene.

HGV Drivers also assist with loading and unloading where authorised and must ensure compliance with all company rules, legislation, and customer site regulations.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience within transport, holds a C or C+E UK driving licence with up-to-date CPC training, and is comfortable working on the road for extended periods. Flexibility, professionalism and the ability to work to tight deadlines are essential.

Warehouse Operative

The Warehouse Operatives play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and despatch of goods.

Responsibilities include; unloading and loading vehicles, performing stock checks, picking and preparing stock for despatch, and completing transactions accurately within the warehouse system. Warehouse Operatives also assist with inventory counts, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and ensure compliance with all site Health & Safety standards.

The ideal candidate is organised, reliable, and capable of working independently. Excellent numeracy and communication skills are essential, along with good timekeeping and attention to detail. Experience operating MHE equipment such as counterbalance, pivot, or PPT trucks is desirable.
