Warehouse Operatives that have the ability to function well as part of a team. You must have very effective organisational and communication skills and a flexible approach to work. Minimum of 1 years’ experience of working within a Warehouse environment. Fork Lift Truck Certificate, Counterbalance, Pivot, Flexi/Bendi trucks is an advantage. The ability to multi‐task and work in a fast paced environment. Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co‐Workers. Ensuring a high standard of hygiene at all times, clean as you go work ethic (damages, spillages and general hygiene are maintained at all times)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience of working within a Warehouse environment
  • Fork Lift Truck Certificate, Counterbalance, Pivot, Flexi/Bendi trucks – Desirable: (MEWP) Scissor Lift Certificate
  • Must be able to work as assigned in either office or warehouse environments
  • Professional in appearance
  • Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety of themselves and others around the workplace
  • Ability to multi‐task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co‐Workers
  • Highly organised, self-sufficient and able to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines
  • Flexible in approach to work and adaptable to fit into different teams and environments
  • Confident and approachable
  • Chemical and Manual Handling Trained Desirable but not essential as training will be given
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and have own transportation to work

Accountable KPI’s:

  • Customer Service – Accuracy of stock levels when picking orders – 98%
  • Quality – Ensure product is loaded correctly and safely for transit – 99%
  • Cost – Ensure safe storage and loading to eradicate breakages – 1%

Key Accountabilities:

Customer Service

Ensure effective and efficient running of the warehouse function and customer satisfaction by: 

  • Taking delivery of goods and supplies
  • Storing of goods
  • Picking of goods
  • Preparation of stock
  • Loading of stock by hand, pump truck or forklift
  • Keep accurate records of stocks
  • Assisting with stock taking as and when required
  • Keeping warehouse and work area clean and tidy through use of chemicals and non hazardous equipment
  • Use of the correct methods for manual handling
  • Use of automatic wrapper to correct procedure
  • Completion of relevant paperwork
  • Correct completion of the picking and unloading paperwork and IT based systems
  • Ensuring cleanliness of stock and warehouse (this includes cleaning spillages and damages as they happen or on discovery)

Communication

  • Contact internal customers to resolve any queries or problem that may arise with paperwork
  • Responding to and dealing with customer communication by email and telephone

Teamwork

  • Encouraging teamwork within the workplace by displaying the correct behaviours towards all members of the Knowles Transport Ltd teams
  • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely and securely and reporting of any concerns or near misses to the Site Manager

HR Advisor

Monday - Friday 08.30 - 17.00
March, Cambridgeshire

The Role:

Provide support to the HR Manager on ER related matters and to the managers across functions including areas of Resourcing, Disciplinary Investigations and Absence Management.

Supporting business strategy, development and continuous improvement, whilst maintaining employee engagement and welfare.

Requirements:

Minimum of two years’ experience working in an operational HR capacity, CIPD level 3 as a minimum

Confident and demonstrable understanding of employment law

Articulate communicator, both written and verbal to persons at all levels

Flexible and adaptable in approach to ever changing workload and deadlines

Examples of adding value as both an individual contributor and active team member

Experience of dealing with challenging individuals and approachable to employees at all levels

Ability to work with the team to recognise, implement and review development plans for individuals

Ability to represent the Human Resource function internally & externally

Continuous improvement, always looking for innovation to drive the team and business forward

Methodical approach and ability to prioritise to enable standalone working

Full Driving licence and vehicle to travel to other sites if necessary

Monitoring the HR policy data to engage employee talent to maximise employee resources, within the following areas:

Give appropriate HR advice (employment law related and/or using Policies/Procedures) on key issues such as disciplinary, grievance, and absence management and supporting managers in these areas.

Monitoring and tracking absence and sickness.

Managing the HR employee database.
